PharmEasy Splash Screen Animation
A splash screen is the very first visual that appears on the screen when you enter the application. It welcomes the user and keeps showing until the app is ready. Usually, the time spent on a splash is 3-4 seconds. This is a short interval of time by which the application receives data and sets up the app environment for the user, we use the splash screen to keep the user away from technical work.
Currently, the PharmEasy app has a static splash screen. It becomes a blind spot as there is no interesting things are happening. We wanted to make it more interesting to the user. This project is all about the New Splash Screen journey of PharmEasy.
Current PharmEasy splash screen

This is a static splash screen. Users see the same image every time they launch the app and it becomes a blind spot. I decided to rethink the splash screen. The goal was to make it more interesting for the user in terms of visuals.

Benchmarks
I did some Benchmarking to know how others are doing. Took the screenshots and put them on a mood board, discussed it with my team, and got their feedback. The majority opinion was to go for a short animation that describes PharmEasy.

The idea
After the long discussions, we landed on the best idea which everyone liked. The idea was to show our product verticals in a closed-loop animation. Initially, we planned to show real images to represent the product verticals. It made the animation file larger in size. To reduce the file size, I converted the images into illustrations.
Final Product
It took a little bit of time to convince the team in terms of visual designs. Finally, we landed on two different options for the splash screen and I made made the detailed visuals with the help of Adobe Aftereffects.
